THERE IS NO SIMPLE FIX FOR YOUR GUT HEALTH!

And don’t believe anyone who tells you otherwise…

We see headlines like “Drink *This* and Cure your Gut Problems” or “The One Thing Everyone Should Eat for a Healthy Gut”…

But, the truth is, we are more complicated beings than that…

Our gut health is the product of soooo many things…our environment…our lifestyle…our genes…even whether or not we own a pet!

So it’s tricky to make blanket statements for the entire population about ‘shoulds’ or ‘should nots’ when it comes to optimising gut health…

That being said…one thing we can recommend is addressing the big, modifiable factors first…From the pie chart below, most people have some control over their stress levels (hopefully), their sleep quality and duration (unless they have a newborn!), and their diet… The other factors are trickier, and sometimes even impossible, to change!

The most impactful of all of these modifiable factors for gut health is diet…

…And considering close to 100% of Australians don’t eat their recommended servings of veg per day, we can pretty safely start there…

This week, why not challenge yourself to fit one extra serve of veg in to your day…Make it a focus and see how you feel! Your gut microbes will love you for it!

If you’d like to learn more about optimising your gut health (in an enjoyable, non-restrictive way!), sign up to our online course ‘Healthy Gut, Healthier Baby’, which is currently free!

Simply enter the code ‘HEALTHYBUB’ when you check out, and you will gain free access to the entire ten modules (normally priced at $376!)
