1. Don’t worry if they don’t eat all of it!
The foods you introduce around 6 months should only be a ‘supplement’ to breastmilk or formula…
2. Don’t add salt, or sweeten their food!
You want your baby to taste the broccoli/carrot/bean in it’s full glory!
3. Go bitter early
Humans have an inbuilt love for sweetness…but offering your baby bitter foods first may help reduce fussy eating later on! Once your baby does get to taste something like an apple or peach, they may choose these things over broccoli…but don’t give up hope! Always continue to offer your baby the full array of flavours bitter, sour and sweet (naturally!).
Also…always remember… food is not just calories…it’s social, cultural, deliciousness, and creative… Share these parts of food with your children too!
