It sure is difficult to decipher fact from fiction these days…

Any old person, qualified or not, can jump onto social media and claim to be a ‘gut health’ expert…

With ‘gut health’ promises slapped on every label, and millions of social media accounts claiming to have ‘the answer’ to fix your gut health, it can be difficult to know what you should should believe….and, maybe more importantly, what you should ignore!

🚩 RED FLAG #1
Any diet (or person) who insists you need to exclude entire food groups (e.g. dairy) to achieve ‘a healthy gut’. There is no evidence that this is helpful (unless you have allergies)…in fact, it’s more likely to have a negative effect!

🚩 RED FLAG #2
Any kind of ‘juice cleanse’ or ‘shake challenge’…This decreases the diversity of your diet and may kill off some of the beneficial bacteria in your gut!

🚩 RED FLAG #3
Any ‘gut health’ diet that promises rapid weight loss…

Have you seen any of these gut health promises anywhere?

With MothersBabies, you can rest assured that you’re getting the ‘real deal’…university qualified nutritionists, GPs, obstetricians, midwives, and scientists here to help you learn how to nurture your microbiome to best support your fertility, pregnancy, and baby health.

If you’d like to learn more about optimising your gut health and avoiding these ‘red flags’, sign up to our online course ‘Healthy Gut, Healthier Baby’, which is currently free!

Simply enter the code ‘HEALTHYBUB’ when you check out, and you will gain free access to the entire ten modules (normally priced at $376!)
